Whiplash? What the hell is even that?

Well folks, gather round, I'm going to tell you what we are, why we are here and also share a little about how all this began!

First of all, who even is this person speaking here? My name is Pedro, most of you in the community know me as Scrubz! Whiplash has been a long time in the making for me so I'm incredibly excited to share it with all of you so I won't waste your time, what the hell is Whiplash? 

Whiplash! aims to more than just a place where you can buy keyboard stuff. We want to become a community and a creative space where people can be themselves and enjoy a hobby that brings them joy. That being said we also don't intend to be "just" another keyboard store either, while we recognize the humble beginnings that we are starting with, there is a reason for this name. Whiplash is also my answer to a lot of the issues I have recognized with the keyboard hobby over my years of being an enjoyer.

What are these issues? Well there's two main ones I am focusing on. The first one is simple, group buys. As a hobbyist I hate group buys myself and while I see the benefit of them, whiplash will aim to be in-stock as much as possible unless we can help it and will work on ways of making you feel safe in joining a group buy if we ever run one.

The second issue I identify with the keyboard hobby space right now is the lack of creativity and new things happening. While again, the beginnings we are working with are indeed humble, Whiplash will be a place where I will attempt to stretch my creativity and bring you products that you don't find elsewhere or just products that are generally hard to find as a whole as well as in house products designed by us. There are a good few in development now so be sure to keep up!

Which brings us to how this all started! Most of you will not know this but Whiplash started as just the place where I shared the things I designed for 3D printing for free with other hobbyists and I intend on keeping that going! While the development of this store has taken up a vast majority of my time for the better part of 4 months now, I am eager to get back to designing and keep on sharing my designs with everyone for free so that anyone with access to a 3d printer can print cool stuff :)

Finally I want to talk about what really defines us, the running principles that will define Whiplash in the market. Integrity is paramount to us as we know how shaky the keyboard space has been in the past few years, we will work hard to earn your trust and keep it. We want to keep things fun as that is what got us into this in the first place! Keyboards shouldn't be serious. And lastly our name, Whiplash is what we want the keyboard space to feel, hold onto your hats cause we wont stand still and you'll never tell what's coming next.
